Kostya KaribyanHead Coach.  Kostya Karibyan, is a former diving champion and holds a Physical Education degree. Kostya is a former coach of the Ukraine National Team and is a Level 3 Certified diving coach with over 30 years of diving and gymnastics coaching experience in Europe and Canada. After moving to Vancouver in 2003, Kostya started the North Shore Dolphins Dive Club and has been our Head Coach since 2004. Kostya also coaches in many of the BC Diving camps held throughout the year.
  Stephanie HansenDolphins Club Manager.  Stephanie has worked with the Dolphins for the past two seasons as a part-time coach, coaching the High Performance team and Learn to Dive classes. In August 2018, she took on the role of Club Manager while continuing her coaching involvement with the club as a substitute coach. Stephanie formerly dove with coach Kostya where he led her to a silver medal in 3-metre syncro at Senior Nationals in 2009, multiple-time Provincial Champion on 1 and 3-metre, BC Games 1-metre Champion, Western Canada Games and Canada Games finalist and top 12 finisher at Junior and Senior Nationals. After graduating high school in 2010, she took her career to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and dove at the University of Nevada. There she worked her way to Conference Champion on 1-meter and platform events earning the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Year title. Stephanie is also a B.C. Judging Official and works full-time as a Marketing Coordinator for The West Coast Fishing Club.
  Reza Kheibari  – Competitive Team Coach. The Dolphins welcomed Reza Kheibari to our coaching staff in 2018. Prior to bringing his coaching skills to Vancouver, Reza had won several gold and silver medals in “Asia Pacific championships” and was Iran’s champion for 13 consecutive years. He is a former head coach of the Iran National Diving Team with over 16 years of diving experience in Asia and Europe. He has International Solidarity Coaching Degree, Fina Certificate for dive score judging and Advanced Diving Referee Clinic Certificate. Reza knows how to motivate and encourage athletes to do their best during practices and games. He can scout talented youngsters and evaluate their skills set and mentor them to be able to compete at highest levels. Under his guidance as a head coach, many of his divers at different age group, including adults and children received international recognition at various competitions in Asian and European games.  The North Shore Dolphins Dive Club is excited to have Reza as part of our team!
  Soraya Mazhari Recreational & Competitive Development Team Coach. Soraya joined the Dive Club in 2004 and was the club’s senior diver until her retirement from competitive diving in 2008.  During that time, Soraya competed in numerous local and Provincial diving competitions.  Soraya is a Competition Introduction Certified Coach.  Soraya has been coaching with the Dolphins since 2008.  In addition to coaching the North Shore Dolphins, Soraya has also coached diving for the West Vancouver Community Centre, Hollyburn Country Club, UBC, North Van Cruisers and for BC Diving at the BC Diving Christmas Camp. Soraya started working with the Dolphins’ junior competitive divers in 2010 taking them to meets where her divers had great podium success. Soraya is also trained as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and in first aid. Her gentle nature always brings huge smiles out of our divers.
  Danielle WestwickRecreational & Competitive Development Team Coach.  Danielle has been coaching with the Dolphins since 2012.  Danielle is a Master Diver and former high level competitive diver who recently competed at Provincial and National level meets.  She holds her Competition Introduction Certificate.  Dani coaches with extreme patience and enthusiasm.  Danielle also coaches for Fraser Valley Diving in Langley.
Lindsay Underdown Pre-competitive and Development Team Coach. After diving for four years with the North Shore Dolphins, Lindsay transitioned into her coaching career with the North Shore Dolphins in 2011. Lindsay is a NCCP certified Competition-Introduction coach. Lindsay has lots of prior experience working with children, and has taken courses in early exercise physiology, psychology, and early childhood education. She recognizes athletes acquire new skills at different rates, and works to accommodate this and keep athletes of all levels challenged to a healthy degree. Lindsay strives to create a positive training environment for the divers with lots of enthusiasm, patience, and encouragement.
Sarah Morbey Recreation/Learn to Dive Coach. Sarah has been volunteering for North Shore Dolphins for two and a half years and coached two classes in the 2017-2018 program as a learn to dive coach. Before her coaching experiences started, she dove with North Shore Dolphins for 6 years. Therefore, she has had a lot experience both doing the sport herself, as well as coaching it. She looks forward to getting to know each child personally, and help them enjoy the sport as much as she did.
Angela Chirico – Junior Coach. Angela joined the North Shore Dolphins in 2013 and is a certified Junior Coach.  Training with the high performance team, Angela had the opportunity to compete in many local, provincial competitions, the B.C. winter games 2016, as well as numerous Novice National level competitions earning a bronze medal in 2018.  In addition to volunteer coaching with the Dolphins, Angela has coached with the North Vancouver Cruisers Summer Diving Club. In addition to her diving, Angela has been a synchronized and development speed swimmer and is currently training to be a lifeguard.  Her patient and relaxed personality helps her work and train young divers.
Elena CastellonJunior Coach. Elena started diving for the Dolphins in 2013. She has competed Nationally at the Novice Nationals in Saskatoon, and locally at many Provincial and local competitions. Elena also spent a week at the Dive Canada training camp in Cuba as well as two IDive Intensive training camps.  In 2015 Elena took the coaching course and attained her coaching certification. Elena has put her training and experience to good use as a volunteer dive coach for the Dolphins for the past three years. For the past two years she has also worked and volunteered for the North Shore Cruisers. Elena loves coaching new divers and has a love of teaching kids. Elena is in grade 11 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Secondary and has plans to go into Neural Psychiatry.
